editing-05/04/11

Today we had one of are last editting sesstion, as we are nearing the end of the editting process , i made a number of changes, to the lay out of the scene and added dissolves in between a few scene that i felt need it beeing done to . However none of my edits were saved on to the music video , as when i showed my group the changes i had made to the flow of the scene and the changing of a few scenes, they did not agree that my changes and said that they were not effective, therefor i descided that i would change it back, as the majorty of my group did not agree with it . I could have argued with this desition , yet i did not as it wasnt just one member of my who believed this , so they must be right . Also we are a team and as a team we have to make desitions together so I believe that going against my group desition would be the wrong thing to do as everyone opion in my group is equal so it would be improper to goo against a group dection and it would effect the integraty of my group .

To day me Toby and Ashlie done some more editing, we added dissolves from one scene to another , also we added an old grainy effect to the scene's which look like there in the past for the scene which show that she is happy and also the scenes that are a bit jumpy .

The editing it going well, the hole group is pulling together in-order to reach the show case on friday , so were all working hard to meet the deadline as there is allot to do and very little time .

Today me and my group member Tobey , done some editing on are music video . we added effects into the scene were she's crying to the scene were she's drinking in-order to create a transition so that the video looks smooth on the eyes . we also added new scenes so that the narrative was more clears , and also added more dissolve affects in the first scene to make it seem like the scene is a memory.

Me and toby worked well together today as we bounced off of each other ideas and also when editing it is always helpful to have a second opinion on what to do, so that we can try to make the most of the footage in order to produce a music video which is original a fresh .

To day i have been editing the music video . Adding the scene wear jennie and toby are spinning looking like a happy couple. Also i have been trying to sort the timing of the scene's making shore that every scene is in-sink with the music, this took me around an hour and a half as we have made scenes longer and shorter this means that others scenes intern become out of time , so i have spent this lesson sorting out this problem, to make sure that the timing are correct and not jumpy.

Me and my group have now render most of the foot for are music video and have now begun the editing process. So now we are working in the editing station in my class on the apple Mac’s using a software known as final cut. At this point we are at the early stage of editing , as we still have one scene to film, but we are making progress as we are around 1/5 of the way through editing. Also we are familiar with the editing software as we have past experience editing using the soft ware as we used it to create are lip sink, as a result of this we have edited the running scene and some of the house scene , the introduction, and some of the cafe scene . I feel that we are making good progress and are working as a team to make a original music video, we are making disitions which have been discuss as a group so there are no arguments as we all have the same vision of what we want.
